Get ready to be mesmerised - because projection art is back at Geelong After Dark this year! Matt Bonner is the leading artist and he'll be showcasing his work on City Hall in Gheringhap St. 

City Hall will be transformed into an organic living musical instrument (in an opening piece called Breathe) and will be then transformed into a dream like surreal landscape with a haunting soundscape (in a piece called Float at the closing of Geelong After Dark.

Barking Spider Visual Theatre in association with Black Hole Theatre

A bloom of illuminated jellyfish against a night sky, floating through Central Geelong, transporting you to the deep blue and the life aquatic. These creatures of luminous beauty will be gliding along Moorabool Street and the waterfront changing colour as they encounter each other and the world around them.

This multi-media installation explores the idea of lifelessness; as both a state of mind and a way of escape. Sheer and penetrable walls confine the ‘self’ and act as a fragile barrier from the ‘other’. The light bulges at the seams of the cage-like structure, alluding to the domination of the internal self over the body.
